A PRAYER FOR NIGERIA!!!

Hey guys!

Happy Independence day!!

Today marks the 54^thanniversary of our dear country Nigeria. A nation abundantly blessed with many natural resources such as oil, solid minerals etc, a nation also blessed with very fertile land that can grow our foods naturally without having to import, a nation protected from natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, major floods and many more, a nation that produces the highest number of twins worldwide, a nation blessed with good weather, very rich cultures and multiple languages with different dialects, a nation that possesses a very good heritage, a nation that is highly innovative, very resourceful, highly resilient and adaptive to any and every situation, a nation that is very talented, highly skilled and blessed with royalty.

Its so sad how a nation so blessed and known to be one of the most religious in the world, can seem so tragic and hopeless. 

As I woke up this morning, I thought of what to write about my country and as I tried to paint a picture of the Nigeria today, I ended up painting a good future born through struggles and hustles, a glory waiting to reveal its crown, a people without a government, a government without leadership, a ruler without rules, a bright future painted in dull colors, a tomorrow always waiting for tomorrow, a lawless land, an ambitious people interested in the end without considering the means, a dreaming nation hoping on dreams, a beautiful  cultural band dancing to different tunes, a rich nation with abject poverty, a land of many promises yet unfulfilled,  a land of miseries, killings and injustice, a sleeping army dreaming of victory, a nation driven by passion and coordinated by corruption and selfish ambitions.

Having pictured all these, I decided to say and share a little prayer for our dear country Nigeria, and I hope everyone can take a few minutes today to say a little prayer for Nigeria as a gift to her independence.

Dear Lord, we thank you for a nation so blessed, rich and diverse in different languages and cultures, we thank you for endowing the land and the people with and abundance of human an natural resources , we also thank you for this surely, is a land flowing with milk and honey. We pray dear Lord that all acts of injustice, bribery, cruelty, mischief, violence and corruption be eradicated from our nation. We ask dear Lord that you imbibe into the hearts of every Nigerian a true spirit of Christianity and patriotism. Above all, we pray for love, peace, unity, compassion and justice upon this great nation Nigeria.
