A young woman I once met in a wheel chair at a store, with an unusual happy disposition, coincidentally showed up at the hospital where I went for an eye check up recently. I had the opportunity to chat with her while sitting at the waiting room and so we struck up a conversation.
I asked her "whats your secret". She told me: last year, God gave me a gift of happiness. I was on my way to a church camp meeting when I got involved in an accident. As I laid there bleeding in so much pain, I realized that I may never be able to walk for a very long time. How depressing!!. But then I realized that being depressed wasn't going to change anything. So I decided right there and then not to waste my life despairing.
Ever since then, I see my friends and family getting upset or getting worked up over little things like: they had a bad day, they had no money, they had a bad grade, they are too fat, their inability to walk like others, talk like others, live like others and look like others. But I just enjoy life!!!.
People often think that happiness is based on what you achieve or acquire. " I just need a better job, a better car and many more".
Happiness is a state of mind, you can have everything in the world and still be miserable or you can have very little and have joy unspeakable.
No matter how little we may have, no matter what situations present themselves before us, always remember that "your present position could be someone else's prayer point".
Find a way to be thankful for your little things and they can become your blessings.
BRING ME HOPE!!!

Each time I visit the orphanage home, I get greeted with the smiling faces of my kids, who always rush out eagerly to see who must have come to their abode. I get a lot of hugs which makes me feel so much joy within my heart. Each time I play and pray with these kids, I sense a radiation of joy from them and this gives me a sense of satisfaction.
Promise is one boy I grew really fond of, he is actually always the first to hug me each time I visit. He's in Primary two and about 7yrs old. He's smart and willing to be interacted with. I bet that boy would have loads of friends in the future. He always never lets me go and one of the most beautiful memories about him was the day he said "you are like a mum to me" (oh how touched I was)
Favor, an exceptional girl. Really Cute and very smart. she loves playing with phones, each time I take out my phone she seizes it and just like me, begins to take selfies, pouting her lips so beautifully, snapping everyone and also plays games with it. she is an amazing child, always takes corrections and loves food just like I do.
Each day, as I lay down, I think of these kids, i am thankful for their lives and the hopes they have for a better and brighter future I'm also grateful for what I have and thankful for my family, for my parents and for me - just being me,as I am.
So many times, I complain about my parents, about my background, but looking at these kids each day I visit, I'm grateful.
Welcome to my blog!!

Hi guys,
So I have been wanting to create an avenue where I could share experiences that could have an impact in someone's life but there has been little or no motivation. I have been going back and forth with myself for weeks on what to share and how to share it. After much thinking, I decided to start this not because I wanted to make a big deal about things but because I was keen on trying to make an impact and I thought the best way I could achieve that was by creating a blog about different experiences and inspiring stories in hopes of helping or inspiring someone along the way.
