Hey guys,

5 WAYS TO BOOST YOUR METABOLISM!!!!

Sunday 20 September 2015

Hey guys,

How was your weekend? Mine was really productive, unlike the previous ones. I'm glad I was able to work on my blog and attend to most of my pressing needs. Most importantly, I was able to clean up my room, complete a section of a little project Ive been working on and catch up on sleep that Ive missed. Sallah is just around the corner. Where are all my Muslim friends at? All roads certainly lead to your houses next weekend. Lol.

So a lot of people say I eat a lot, hence, the nick names #Ezendi #Ofoodo #jelly belly #chunky #butter finger #sopho monger..and what have you. But what they find most surprising, is that, despite all gluttony, I still remain the same in size. How? Has been the most common question I've had to answer all year. Well, the answer lies in my metabolism. Its FAST!.

A lot of people feel like hitting the gym is the only way to burn calories. Yes its effective, but it really is possible to burn them without spending hours at the gym.

Try out these few tips.

EAT BREAKFAST

Most people barely have time for this. But do you know that your metabolism slows down when you sleep and doesn't revive back until you eat again? Breakfast is very important as far as metabolism and weight loss are concerned. So, don't be a breakfast skipper but a breakfast eater. It sure helps to jump start and speed up your metabolism.

MUNCH AND NIBBLE ALL DAY

I do this A LOT.. I mean, like all the time. My colleagues wonder if I have a tank in my stomach. I know it sounds counterintuitive to say eat continually if you want to loose weight but guess what? Eating six to seven mini meals, as opposed to three larger meals everyday, keeps your metabolism humming 24/7.

MAKE PROTEIN BAE

Yes you read that right. You've got to make protein bae if you need a boost in your metabolism. I'll tell you why. Getting plenty of protein can boost your metabolism, causing you to burn 150 to 200 calories a day. It is made up of amino acids which are harder for your body to break down as opposed to fat and carbs. So you burn more calories getting rid of them.

SKIP ALCOHOL BEFORE MEAL

I learnt this one recently. Taking alcohol before eating isn't such a good idea if you are considering loosing weight or boosting your metabolism. Research shows that the body burns off alcohol first, meaning that the calories in the rest of the food are more likely to be stored as fat. If you must drink though, stick to wine which has less calories.

DRINK A GLASS OF MILK A DAY

I'm not really a milk/cereals person but I try to take a glass of milk every morning before leaving for work, if I am not able to have breakfast. Asides the protein milk gives, it posses calcium along with other substances in dairy which revives your metabolism, telling your body to burn excess fat fast. So whenever you feel you're running late for work, don't forget to grab a glass of milk.

I hope these help.

Please feel free to share some more tips.

Have a blissful week guys. :D

THE SINGLE MARRIED MAN!!!!

Friday 18 September 2015

Hey guys,

Thank God its Friday. What a week it has been for this viable blog! I finally moved it from the blogspot subdomain to a custom domain. I have been wanting to do this for a while..., actually, ever since this blog started getting some attention lol. Most importantly, I felt it was about time to make some changes as my own way of celebrating my blog anniversary , and also a reason to take it more seriously. I am still trying to put a couple of things in place, reorganise my widgets and probably categorize my posts. In the mean time, what do you think about the little changes made? Also, I am more than open to any suggestions, as I am not a pro when it comes to computers and technical stuff. So please, feel free to leave me some comments. It'll be much appreciated.

Moving on to other interesting subjects. I have a series of posts that have been sitting in my drafts, waiting to be edited and published, but due to the changes that's been in process for some time, I haven't been able to update my blog. Nonetheless, I would start publishing them one by one. So please be on the look out.

So, a few weeks back, I had a series of random thoughts, most of which were about the things that were happening alot around me. As a blogger that I am, I decided to put a pen to paper and inspired by a couple of incidents I observed during that time, I came up with this write up titled "The Single Married Man"

The Single Married Man

Ever green and ready to give.
Sometimes in cash, other times, in kind.
He's the already made man,
Knows what to do, Knows what to say.
He's the most wanted specie of all men;
Tall, dark, big, grey........you name it!
He's the perfect boyfriend.
The perfect gentle man.

He steps into the club, looking so dope in his vintage armani suit;
Pops some bottles and boogie around some butts.
Yes he has a ring on;
but that's just another statement piece of jewelry.
He loves his wife don't get him wrong.
Very famous, you can hardly ever miss him.
You may have spotted him a couple of times;
Holding a damsel's hand,
Generous with his hugs and kisses;
But hey, thats just another sister of his.
Actually, a business partner

He's everywhere you turn.
He hunts you
He taunts you.
He's honey glazed
And he's taken the scene.
He's every woman's dreams....
He's the Single Married Man.
BEWARE!!!!

BLOG UPDATE AND A LITTLE HELP!!!!

Tuesday 15 September 2015

Hey guys,

How's it going? Anyone been as busy as I've been in the past week and a few days? I guess not!. Its been CRAZY, like really C-R-A-Z-Y. In all honesty, I have to struggle to find a balance cause at this point, I am pretty close to being completely off the scale and that ain't healthy at all. On a lighter note, a big shout out to those who checked up and sent in messages requesting for a blog update. It really goes a long way to show that this little space of mine, makes a little impact afterall..:D. My sincere gratitude goes out to you, my lovely readers. Thanks for staying with me :).

In light of my previous blog anniversary, I am pleased to announce that this little space of mine would be moving from a 'blogspot' to a 'dot com' in a few days. I finally got my personal domain guys..*dacing shoki*..

As much as I am really excited, I must confess that I am a bit confused as to how I can completely move this blog to my personal domain, without ruining it. I am not particularly a wizard when it comes to computers and technical stuff, but I try to make an attempt before throwing in the towel. I have done a couple of research, and I was able to find some steps as to how I can link/move my blog to my personal domain but they seem pretty long and quite complicated. Anyone done this before, or know someone who might be able to assist? Please help a sister. Leave me your contact in the comment box or better still, leave me a link that might be of help.

Xoxoxo

ALONE WITH FAZE ALONE!!!!

Saturday 5 September 2015

Hey guys,

Welcome to September, the month of new beginnings. A big shoutout to all Virgos in the house. You guys rock mehn!!...well, not as much as Scorpios though *wink wink*. I know the weekend is almost over, but I'd really love to know what you'all got up to this weekend. As for me, I hung out with a couple of friends from way back at Uni, which was indeed, very delightful, went bowling with a few other friends afterwards, and hoping to visit the spa later tomorrow, curtesy Ada and Arinze, my niggas for days lol. What did you guys get up to?

It sure feels good to be on time with my 15 for 15 monthly challenge post for this month. I guess I've been delivered from the spirit of procrastination. *Hallelujah somebody*. This is definitely going to be a great month. I can feel it in my spirit, especially considering who we have in the house today:- Oji Chibuzor Richard himself, popularly known as Faze.

Faze, arguably one of Africa's finest vocalist, song writer and record producer, was a member of the defunct Nigerian hip hop group, plantashun boys, which split up in 2004, leaving each member of the group riding solo. Faze has since then, been one of the best selling Nigerian artist. His first album 'faze alone', sold over three million copies, while his second album 'independent', sold over seven million copies. His third album 'originality', went platinum in its first month after Its release.

Faze is known for his ability to sing the highest vocal note out of Nigerian contemporary male musicians. He is the most inspirational and gifted artiste in Nigeria, award winning singer and one of the greatest Artist in Africa at large. He is a crowd puller any day, any time, making him one of the most popular and powerful artist in Nigeria.

Let's get to meet him on a more personal level.

Thank you very much for coming on board Chibuzor, can we get to meet you?

My names are Oji chibuzor Richard aka Faze. I'm an RnB artist, the C.E.O Independent entertainment ltd. I was in a group called The Plantashun Boiz but now solo, and I've got five albums under my belt and counting. My managers are Plantashun Ent (Owoyemi Nathaniel & Odogwu Ifeanyi Oji).

What was the inspiration behind music?

The inspiration would be the love for the art. I had loved the whole idea behind music, artists, the iconic images, the aura/authority they command and the lifestyle.

What is your idea of good music

My idea of good music is one that touches the  lives of people, sounds really pleasant to the ears and most especially, appeals to people across the world.

Is there any particular song or musical message that never fails to move you emotionally?

Yes!..they are too many to mention right now, as I'm a lover of good music. I appreciate all and any appealing song because, even some songs without contents, still reach out to people as long as they sound good, which explains why you like a song whether its in some other language that you don't understand but it still appeals to you if its a good song. Music is universal! Having said that, it's always a lot better, and makes more sense to have a content and meaningful lyrics, than to have none at all!!!

What skills/personal attributes do you think are important to being a successful artist.

Be as humble as possible to everyone, no matter their positions. Work with the right crew and connect/ pray to God at all times.

What typical mistakes do you think people make when trying to pursue a music career?

Trying to sound like someone else that has been there, instead of trying to be creative and original. You need to also know the genre of music you want to major in, because, I noticed that a lot of people coming into the art don't even have or know the genre of music they are into.

How about the 'faze brand' Could you tell us a bit more?

The Faze brand is a brand that's gonna be bigger and better than it was before because, we are actually putting in more work than before so we urge people to watch out.

Part of your new year project was to drop two new singles, one of which was 'Common sense'. What was the inspiration behind it?

Common sense was inspired by the elections that took place. I saw us voting who ever we wanted to be our leader, knowing that he or she would create an impact in the life of the people who voted them in, and besides that, I related it to everyone's personal decisions in life. Before making a decision it is advice able to weigh and balance everything using our common sense.

What are your views on the present government/leadership in the country?

I can't really draw any inferences now. I think we should wait for a bit. The end justifies the means.

What principles govern your life/career.

Discipline, hardwork and prayer at all times.

What's a typical day for you like?

Always an early rise to work, practically live in the studio, hang out with friends sometimes, sleep late.

How important is image to you?

Image is very important to me because it gives the particular kind of iconic impression you want people to have about you and takes you a very long way.

What is your most valued material possession?

Can't specify.

Who would you be so nervous to meet?

God

Describe your ideal woman.

Respectful and very fund of me.

What should we be expecting from you in the near future?

More good music, collaborations, more videos, More iconic and exemplary setting acts, worthy of emulation by younger ones. 2000NFaze.

Thank you very much Chibuzor for coming on board. It was indeed great having you share your views and tips on becoming a successful artist. On behalf of my humble self and my fellow readers, we wish you all the very best in your future endeavors.

Until next time guys,

Have a blessed week ahead. :)
